Semi-automatic systems for standard/regular slotted cases (RSC)

The operator takes a flat box, forms the box to shape, and places it on the machine. The machine then automatically seals the bottom flaps and produces a box that is ready to be filled with product.

Semi-automatic formers are usually connected directly to a case sealer, and serve as a case forming and filling station that can be operated by a single person (see case former-sealer combo system).

For high production operations, case formers can also be connected to a non-motorized conveyor specially designed to hold boxes closed, without tape or glue, and serve as a multi-operator station (see case former-sealer combo system, with conveyor).
